Beginning with the story of Abe Dale (Nathan Fillion), who was having lunch with his wife and children in restaurants.
Suddenly there was a man (Craig Fairbrass) came and shot dead his wife and son, then he committed suicide. A few days later, Abe really feel missed and lonely. He intends to commit suicide by eating a lot of pills at her home.
Fortunately Marty Bloom (Adrian Holmes), a friend of Abe, arrived and immediately took him to the doctor. Events 'near death' Abe was to make him see white light in some people and also he can hear the sound like the sound of foreign electronic ghost or spirit.
Then he realized that white light is a sign that the person will die. Abe could have saved three lives including nurse Sherry Clarke (Katee Sackhoff). When watching a video which had recorded her son, Abe saw his family's killer was never save Abe's wife & child in an accident that occurred 3 days before the murder.
Abe finally found a way that if he kills, then he could save more lives in 3 days.
